Defenders Season Is Over

The Wanderers full-back is to undergo surgery on the shoulder he has dislocated on five occasions this season.

''It will be next season before he has recovered,'' said manager Sam Allardyce.

''We would sooner do the operation now rather than him having any problems in pre-season.''
