Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies was named the Goldline Player of the Year last night in an awards ceremony which took place in the Lion of Vienna suite at the Reebok Stadium.

The former Southampton man has been an important member of the Bolton team this season, figuring in all of the clubs Premiership games since his move from the South Coast whilst weighing in with ten goals so far for the season including a consolation in the 2-1 Carling Cup Final defeat to Middlesbrough in February.

Ivan Campo's efforts in the holding midfield role where recognised as he was to finish the runner up to Davies whilst local lad and recently capped England U21 star Nicky Hunt was to finish in third place.

A good time was had by all who attended and I would like to pass on my thanks to Sam Allardyce, Phil Brown, Phil Gartside and all of the players who turned up (more or less all the squad).
