Crouch In Bolton Talks - Report

SKY Sports have reported that the giant Aston Villa striker Peter Crouch is in talks with both Bolton Wanderers and Southampton regarding a prospective move.

The 23-year old who stands at over 6ft 5 inches tall has found opportunities limited since his £5 million move from Portsmouth two years ago and is looking for regular first team football elsewhere.

Previous Villa manager Graham Taylor brought the player to Villa Park in March 2002 after successful spells in the lower leagues both with Pompey and Queens Park Rangers but the former Spurs trainee has failed to live up to expectation and was loaned out to Norwich City last season during their promotion campaign.

Crouch scored against Bolton for Villa in April as the sides fought out a competitive 2-2 draw at the Reebok Stadium. Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has already added strikers Michael Bridges and Les Ferdinand to his squad over the summer so a potential move for the former England U21 ace Crouch is quite a mystery.
