Coyle's side, who face Tottenham in the FA Cup quarter-finals later on Saturday, were the beneficiaries last weekend when QPR were not awarded a goal when the ball had clearly crossed the line.
The International FA Board have now given the green light to final tests. Coyle said: "For me goal-line technology would help to improve the game and we have seen in the World Cup, when England played Germany that game could have turned out totally different if Frank Lampard's goal had been given."
He added: "I don't think it should be tampered with beyond that though - sometimes you can look at something five, six or seven times and two people still don't agree because they see it differently."
Coyle regards Harry Redknapp's Tottenham side as outright favourites for the trophy despite Chelsea and Liverpool also still remaining in the competition.
He added: "I think they are the favourites for the FA Cup, this is a club that has carried all before them this year. We are going to have to be at our very best.
"They have an elite squad of players, they could play two different teams from week to week and they would be still be outstanding top-quality international players."
Chris Eagles is a doubt against Tottenham after picking up a hamstring injury last weekend.
England under-21 striker Marvin Sordell is cup-tied, but Spanish defender Marcos Alonso is in contention for his first game in three months after coming through two reserves matches.
