Coyle expecting Chelsea challenge

The double winners have enjoyed an outstanding 2010 but their year appears to be coming to an inglorious end. Carlo Ancelotti's men, five points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League two months, have failed to win in six and have slipped out of the top four.

Bolton, rejuvenated under Coyle, could even move above the Londoners into fifth with a win but Coyle remains wary of the Blues' power.

"I don't think there is ever a great time to play Chelsea," said Coyle, who celebrates a year in charge at the Reebok Stadium early next month. "Because of the quality they have, you know they can really get motoring."

Coyle, however, insists his team will not be fazed and indeed showed the attitude required to beat Chelsea when they last visited Stamford Bridge in April.

He said: "We will approach it as we approach every other game, we will go there looking to be positive. We went to Chelsea at the tailend of last season and lost 1-0, but should have had two stonewall penalties. We will go there with the belief that if we get to our best - which we need to against the elite clubs - we can pick up points."
