YOSSI BENAYOUN

West Ham are close to signing Racing Santander midfielder Yossi Benayoun after the Spanish club turned down a £1.8m offer from Bolton. The Hammers have bid £2.5m for the Israeli international, who is viewed as one of his country's top prospects.

MICHAEL BRIDGES

Ex-Wanderer Michael Bridges has left Sunderland and is now being chased by Hartlepool. Bridges did not play a competitive match for Bolton and left on a free mid way through last season.

NEW AWAY KIT

Bolton's new away kit will be shown on the official site a midnight tonight. What will the lads be wearing next season?

RESERVE FIXTURES RELEASED

The Reserve team fixtures have been released and can be found on the official website. Wanderer's second string start off with Manchester United at home on August 15 and finish on April 11 with a trip to Middlesbrough.

ABDOULAYE DIAGNE-FAYE

Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has expressed concern over the transfer of Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye. The Trotters boss thinks a work permit may be a stubbling block and the club are ready to appeal against the impending decision.

"We may have a problem with Faye's work permit sadly, but I think we have a really good case. He is a strong player who has played in France and for his country," said Allardyce

"By the time we go to Thailand at the end of the week, I hope to be close to signing maybe one or two players, and if I am lucky then maybe even three," he said.

"All my first targets haven't materialised so I am on the second phase now."
