Reports on Wednesday had suggested that the Spanish midfielder could be on his way back to La Liga in a £2.5million deal.

But Miguel Angel Cermeno, who represents the player, said: "Ivan is very happy at Bolton.

"He has no intention of leaving the club.

"He is really happy with the team and wants to complete his contract."

"I have transmitted this information to the coach (Sam Allardyce)."
