Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ivan Campo is pleased that the team have secured their place in the Premiership for a fourth consecutive season and paid tribute to the Wanderers fans for their support over the campaign.

The 30-year old former Real Madrid star sent the Trotters on their way to victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday by scoring the opening goal after just seven minutes in a 2-0 victory at the Reebok Stadium - his fourth strike of the season which lifted Bolton up to 44 points for the season which equalled last season's best ever tally at Premiership level.

“The most important thing for this team is that we now have 44 points and we are in the Premiership for next season. It was an important win against Spurs. We played very well and I would like to thank the fans – not just for this match – but for the support they have given us all year.” he said
