Bolton Wanderers have finally sealed the Bosman Free Transfer signing of Ivan Campo from Spanish giants Real Madrid, less than 24 hours after announcing a delay in the transfer due to a "technicality" in the players medical.

The deal for the defender/midfielder looked to have been concluded on Thursday morning only for the club to make a statement a few hours later claiming that the deal had stalled during the medical due to an uncomfirmed technicality and the club where not willing to make further comments until the deal had been investigated, thus putting the transfer of the former Mallorca, Alaves and Vallodolid player on hold.

However earlier this afternoon any technicality surrounding the transfer seems to have been resolved and the club unveiled the former Spanish international, who spent a year on loan at The Reebok Stadium last season earlier on this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the club said "Ivan has passed his medical and signed a three-year deal which we are very pleased about. There where initial problems with his medical which we cannot divulge but they have been resolved"
