The deal to bring Ivan Campo back to the Reebok Stadium has hit a snag, with problems during the players medical which the club have refused to comment further on after issuing a statement earlier this evening.

Earlier in the day the popular Spaniard had agreed a permanent three-year deal to re-join the Wanderers from Real Madrid on a Bosman Free Transfer after a succesful loan spell during last season but now it seems an unknown technicality in the final stages of the transfer, has stalled the move for now pending an investigation meaning Bolton fans will have to wait a while longer to see the former Mallorca player back in a white shirt.

A club spokesperson has said in a statement "The transfer of Ivan Campo to Bolton Wanderers Football Club has been stalled due to a technicality in the player's medical.

"The club is awaiting further investigation and will make no further comment."
