Meriem is a free agent since leaving AS Monaco at the end of last season and boasts a cap with France.
"He's out of contract, so we'll just have a look because we're in a situation with what has happened with Sean where we could do with another body in there if it can be done," said Megson.
"We're not saying we're going to do anything, but he'll come over, all being well, and spend a few days training with us."
