Chaplow - Watched??
Bolton Wanderers are the latest club said to be taking an interest in Burnley's highly rated midfielder Richard Chaplow who became an England U21 international in midweek when coming on as a substitute for West Ham midfielder Nigel Reo-Coker in the win over Holland.

Whilst checking on our very own Nicky Hunt during the game it has been suggested that both ourselves and Everton have joined the long list of admirers for the Accrington-born youngster having sent scouts to watch the Clarets ace in action however Burnley manager Stan Ternent is keen to keep the player at Turf Moor for as long as possible.

Meanwhile another player to make his debut in that Three Lions game was recent Blackburn Rovers signing Jon Stead who Sam Allardyce admitted he had been interested in last year during his Huddersfield Town days but felt that he wasn't ready to make the step up from the Third Division to the Premiership.
