Phil Brown - could he be the next Burnley Boss?
Bolton Wanderers Assistant Manager Phil Brown has emerged as a shock target for Lancashire rivals Burnley to take over the vacant managerial hotseat at Turf Moor.

The 44-year old former Wanderers captain is rumoured to be one of the men that the Clarets want to replace the recently departed Stan Ternent. He has established himself as one of the most respected coaches in the country and has in the past expressed a desire to manage a football club, experience which he tasted in 1999 as caretaker manager at Bolton following Colin Todd's departure and prior to the appointment of Sam Allardyce.

Brown who also played for Halifax Town, Hartlepool United and Blackpool around his spell as a player at Bolton is said to be up against Rotherham United manager Ronnie Moore, former Wrexham manager Brian Flynn and recently departed Blackpool boss Steve McMahon.
