The English agent of Brazilian superstar Rivaldo claims that his client will snub any approach from the Scottish champions Glasgow Celtic to complete a move to Bolton Wanderers.

UK agent Peter Harrison told Sporting Life that the player has agreed terms with Wanderers after rejecting Celtic's offer to go on trial with them during their summer tour of the United States of America. It is suggested that the long running transfer saga which began in April is set to be concluded with Harrison stating that the former Milan and Barcelona player will sign an agreement in days rather than weeks.

"I believe he will become a Bolton Wanderers player in days rather than weeks because he has accepted their deal and it's now just a matter of getting him to sign it. He has had an offer in writing from Bolton Wanderers and he looks as if he is going to sign for them.

The agent stated that Rivaldo is a seasoned professional and would reject the offer of a trial with Martin O'Neill's side and sign for Bolton despite the Bhoys being able to offer the prospect of European Football next season.

"I don't think Rivaldo would go on trial with anybody because he is too big a player.I know Celtic invited Rivaldo to their final game of the season but he has already put it down in writing that he will sign for Bolton and refuse to go to Celtic.

Harrison was confident that the former World Player of the Year would sign for Bolton and he told reporters that only the formalities of signing the contract are holding up the deal. The player is keen to join Bolton and has previously stated his ambition to make the Trotters a force to be reckoned with across Europe

"He has indicated that Bolton are his preferred choice and I don't see him going anywhere else. I know anything can happen in football but I can honestly tell you today that we have an offer agreed and terms are sorted so it's just a case of putting pen to paper."
