Bolton To Raise Camara Offer

Henri Camara - still a strong target
Bolton are ready to improve on their offer for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Henri Camara in an attempt to land the Senegalese international goalscorer.

The Molineux club recently rejected a £1,750,000 bid for the player from Bolton but now it seems as though the club will up their offer in a bid to land the former Sedan striker from under the noses of Middlesbrough, Celtic and Portsmouth who have also been watching the striker with a keen interest.

Camara first shot to prominence in the World Cup two years ago and Wolves where quick to add the player to their ranks following promotion to the top flight last summer, however a quick demotion back to the lower leagues has meant that they will face the enevitable task of trying to hold onto some of their star names, one of which is Camara who despite a shaky start ended the season in style with six goals in the final few weeks of the season.

Wolves cheif executive Jez Moxey has already stated the club will do their upmost to keep the star man in the Black Country but the players desire to play in the Premiership could eventually mean that the club will have to part with one of their biggest assets.

The 26-year old striker has already had a transfer request turned down this summer but Wolves could accept a bid of around £3.5 million to compensate for the loss of their player - a fee which is slightly higher than what Bolton are willing to pay but the Trotters hope their persaverence will pay off in the end.
