Bolton star El-Hadji Diouf has denied accusations that he assaulted a woman.

The controversial Senegal star is to be probed by police in Dakar over an alleged assault on the ex-wife of Bolton team-mate Khalilou Fadiga.

Aicha Ba claims she was attacked by Diouf earlier this week in a nightclub and that she was forced to be taken to hospital after the alleged attack.

However, Diouf has rejected the a claims and insists he has done nothing wrong.

"It's not true what they are saying and I have not been seen by the police," Diouf told the Sun.

"They say anything about me here in Dakar."

When quizzed on who had made the complaint Diouf added: "It's a long story and I don't want to talk about it now."

The claims will be a worry for Bolton boss Sam Allardyce as he warned Diouf he would not stand for any more trouble from the African.

Diouf is no stranger to controversy and he faces court proceedings for allegedly spitting spat at a fan in the game against Middlesbrough last season.
