The 29-year old custodian has been strongly linked with the Old Trafford club in recent days with reports suggesting that a bid will be tabled when the transfer window opens again in January but Brown says United and others must pay big if they are to land the player.
"It's not a surprise (Jaaskelainen being linked with United) as we rate him very highly, I know Sam (Allardyce) won't like it, but if we were offered £6million or £7million for him it would be a good return." Brown said
