Bolton Could Turn To Anfield Misfit

According to SKY Sports this morning Bolton Wanderers have entered the race to sign out of favour Liverpool forward El-Hadji Diouf but they could face competition from a number of clubs in Spain.

The Senegalese international is being allowed to leave Anfield in a loan move as new boss Rafa Benitez looks to bring in his own squad of players for the new campaign and this clearly does not include Diouf who was signed by former manager Gerard Houllier for over £10 million two years ago.

Malaga, Levante and Real Mallorca have all shown an interest in taking the player back to the continent with Spain said to be his prefered destination but until the ex-Lens and Sochaux forward has held crunch talks with Benitez he is adamant that he will be staying put on Merseyside.
