The Mirror says 29-year-old is keen for a move into English football and has earned rave reviews for Racing Santander in the Spanish League.
Moran started his career with Real Madrid and could opt for a move to the Reebok Stadium as he is a close friend of fellow Spaniard Ivan Campo.
Bolton are reported to have offered Moran a three-year contract and he will make a decision on his future next week.
