Bolton Back In For Old Boy - Report

Former Bolton Wanderers loanee Salva Ballesta is beleived to have emerged as a shock target for the club as they attempt to bring in a forward before the transfer window closes.

The 29-year old is reportedly out of favour with new Valencia coach Claudio Ranieri and the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce is claimed by SKY Sports to have targeted the player for a Reebok return.

Salva, who played in just a handful of matches in his first spell at the Reebok Stadium is also interesting Malaga whom he hit 19 goals for whilst on loan last season forcing his way back into the international reckoning with Spain.

However despite the reports the player has said he has received no concreate offers and will be hoping to play his way into the plans of Ranieri for the forthcoming La Liga campaign as he hopes to help Valencia defend their Spanish crown.

"In the few last weeks, there has been interest coming in for me, but as yet there is no agreement," he said

"I have not yet decided what to do, because I hope to remain in Valencia,In spite of what has been published in newspapers, Ranieri has not said directly to me that he does not want me. I want to demonstrate to him that I can serve for the team well." he added
