"Looking at the fixture list for December we have to get wins under out belts. The period coming up will be very hard for us.

"But when we got quality in front of goal, the goalkeeper brought off two brilliant saves.
"Then Mario Jardel was presented with the best chance of the game and put it the wrong side of the bar.
"Had he scored at that stage, there would have been no way back for Southampton."
