"We are still four points ahead of West Ham and there are only three games left.
"Whatever happened elsewhere we had to make sure we got something out of the game.
"Onward we plod and we go into the final three games very confident with our form.
"We were very solid in defence, having overcome a difficult start when Jussi Jaaskelainen came up with a fine save against Andy Cole that kept us the clean sheet.
"We defended deep to protect Gudni Bergsson and to use his experience.
"At 37 with two games in three days we didn't want him running around too much. It's a huge effort in your 20s let alone your 30s."
