Allardyce has quashed the rumours that claimed 'Boro boss Steve McClaren had offered £3million for Bolton's transfer listed striker.

“I haven’t spoken to Steve McClaren about any of our players," Allardyce told the clubs official website.

"As time is running out, it is now looking unlikely that Michael will be leaving the club."
