Big Sam: It's like we've lost 4-0

Wanderer's looked to be heading for a much needed victory over their Lancashire rivals after Jay-Jay Okocha's second goal of the season in the eighth minute.

But with 94 minutes on the clock, Rovers' defender Craig Short popped-up to head home an equaliser.

"If we ever wanted or prayed for a referee to blow up right on time it was today," said Big Sam.

"The clock was showing 94.45 minutes when the goal came. But that's not the referee's fault, that is our fault. All we had to do was retain possession. I know players were very tired but you still need to concentrate. It had to be Craig Short of all people.

"It feels like we have lost 4-0 rather than drawn the game and I wonder when my players are going to learn their lesson.

"It's not down to bad luck. We had ample opportunity but couldn't convert chances and that was a great shame."
