Bolton Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce is furious with his push for a fixture change being snubbed by Premiership rivals.

"Everyone is buying into the cr*p said and written about him.

"If I complain, I am bleating. But if Mourinho had said it then it would have been OK."

Bolton's boss wanted his side's league fixtures postponed during the African Nations Cup and is convinced the Chelsea chief would have got a more sympathetic hearing.

He added: "Our only obstacle on this is not UEFA or FIFA, it is the Premiership. They are frightened to change things and we suffer."

Allardyce has steered his team into third spot but fears they will go into freefall when the Nations Cup starts in mid-January.

The Trotters will lose Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha, Tunisian defender Radhi Jaidi and Senegal midfield trio El-Hadji Diouf, Khalilou Fadiga and Abdoulaye Faye.
