New signing Tal Ben-Haim has achieved a dream in moving to the English Premiership and has set his sights firmly on helping Bolton Wanderers achieve a European place.

The 22-year old defender who joined the Trotters on a three year deal from Maccabi Tel Aviv last week beleives that the Wanderers are a club going places and feels that Europe is a more than realistic aim in the times ahead.

"To have the chance to play in the Premiership is like a dream come true for me, It is something I wanted to do so much and in Bolton, I feel as though I have joined a club really going places." he said

"We have a great squad here, with so many experienced players I can learn from. I played in Europe with Maccabi Tel Aviv and my aim is to do the same with Bolton."

Ben-Haim is being allowed to adapt to his new surroundings gradually with the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce keen to introduce the Israelian international captain sparingly in an attempt to maximise the players full potential.

"Tal is a very determined young man and is a very exciting prospect for us. He has a lot of experience in his own country and to be made national skipper at 22 shows just how much quality he has."

"Once he gets used to playing over here I am sure he will make a big impact but that does not mean it will have to happen straightaway. If it takes time, I am prepared for it." the Bolton boss told Sporting Life
