Anthony Barness is hopeful that Bolton Wanderers can continue their fine start to the year in their next game away to Newcastle United at St James Park.

The veteran full back has been in and out of the Trotters starting line up this term but has been around at the club more time than most of the other players and realises that the team have developed.

In saying that Barness believes that the current run of form is the best that the team have achieved in his five years as a Bolton player.

"It's a massive match because we've gone ten games undefeated which is probably the best run we've had in the five years I've been here." he told Bolton's official website

"We want to keep that going. Every record we break is another bit of history and a sign of how we are developing."
