Bolton Wanderers midfielder Ibrahim Ba has said that he will carry on with his football and let his agent negotiate contract terms with the Wanderers as they look to iron out a new contract for the former French international star.

The former AC Milan midfielder is on a short term deal at the Reebok Stadium which is due to run out on the 8th January, and both player and club have expressed a desire to push on with negotations for an extension to the current deal.

"I hope things can be sorted out because I would like to stay here, but there are different things we have to talk about. I am leaving that to my agent, who is talking with the chairman and the manager because the only thing I want to do is to play and to train. The more I play, the more I am happy." Ba told the Bolton Evening News

Ba also explained the reasons why he decided to play in the weekend clash against Tranmere Rovers despite having earlier been omitted from the squad on Friday teatime.

"I still have a contract with Bolton and the gaffer asked me to play so I played. Just because I am talking to them about a new contract is no reason for me not to play. I am still at Bolton and every time the gaffer asks me to play, I will play."
