Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has warned his players that they must be in the right frame of mind to face Gillingham in the Carling Cup tonight, or face a cup upset.

The Wanderers boss feels the players will need to be at their best if they are to go through to the next round and warns that a number of factors will be different from what his players are used to - the crowd being one.

"It won't be easy as there won't be a lot of fans to watch this game. Our players are used to the big stage and atmosphere." Allardyce said

"But they will be left in no doubt how important to everyone it is to get a win. If the players don't have the right attitude they could be embarrased and that is the last thing we want" he added.
