Allardyce Wanted Davids - Report

Juventus midfielder Edgar Davids was said to be on the wanted list of the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce before the transfer window closed last month according to a report on FansFC.com.


Dutch international midfielder Davids, famed for wearing specially made glasses during matches is very highly rated in world football and has attracted the attention of some of the biggest teams accross the globe and Allardyce was said to have earmarked the midfielder for a shock move to the Trotters where he has in the past been able to recruit names such as Jay-Jay Okocha, Youri Djorkaeff, Ivan Campo and Bruno N'Gotty to the club when the odds seemed stacked against a deal.

Davids 30, eventually joined up with Barcelona on a loan deal until the end of the season and the player's willingness to leave Juve when his contract expires in the summer is expected to mark a mad scramble for the playmaker, however it is said that Bolton are not expected to be in that hunt.
