Allardyce Says No To Romanian

Bolton Wanderers have decided not to pursue their interest in Romanian international Iulian Filipescu following a trial and its expected that the contraversial defender will now look for a club elsewhere on the continent.

Filipescu was less than impressive in a private freindly on the clubs trip to La Manga which has forced manager Sam Allardyce to abandon his interest in the former Steau Bucharest, Galatasary and Real Betis player.

He is in a financial dispute with Betis, his last club, over an added bonus in his contract but after a number of run ins with their president Manuel Ruis in the past it is hardly likely he will return to the La Liga club.
