Rivaldo Set Bolton Deadline
Bolton Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce has warned Brazilian star Rivaldo that he has just a few more days to decide on whether or not he is to accept the Trotters offer of a two-year deal.

The 32-year old Samba star is currently back in his homeland holding more talks with representatives but Allardyce fears that the growing delay could be due to the fact that other clubs are being targeted to offer the former Barcelona star a better deal.

Rivaldo was due to fly back to England earlier this week to undergo a medical test and put the finishing touches to a contract with Bolton, however he did not turn up to the arranged assessment and doubts started to arise over the deal prompting the player to return to Brazil to mull over his options, despite this Big Sam is still remaining upbeat.

"I'm disappointed that we haven't got a decision one way or the other but that also means that there's still hope" Allardyce said

The Bolton boss is hoping he will get a definate answer by the early part of next week but confirmed that the club will not wait forever in getting a positive answer from the player and will move on to new targets if necessary.

"If there's not a positive move in a few days then we'd have to call time on it because it might suggest that our offer is being touted about to see if it could be bettered elsewhere. We don't want to work like that, we will have a cut off time that will be considered as more than enough time for him to make a decision. That will then be it and we'll move on" he added
