Nuno Valente - talks held
The agent of FC Porto defender Nuno Valente has confirmed that his client has held talks with Bolton Wanderers regarding a possible switch to the Reebok Stadium.

Valente 29, was a key member of the Portuguese team to defeat England on penalties last week in the European Championships and played a starring role when marking the Three Lions captain David Beckham.

Amadeu Paixao, the agent of the Champions League winner says that there has been interest from a number of clubs with a fee between £1.5m and £3m being projected in some sections of the media for the left sided attacking full back.

"Last Friday I spoke with Fernando Gomes of Porto and he said that over the past week they have been in negotiations with Bolton, There have been offers from other European clubs, but I cannot reveal which." Paixao confirmed to SKY Sports this afternoon

Wanderers Chairman Phil Gartside has recently dismissed suggestions of a move for Valente but the players recent performances for the European Championship hosts may encourage him to put in a bid sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile a move to sign Tunisian international Radhi Jaidi moved a step closer after the 28-year old departed his club Esparence de Tunis at the back end of last week.
