Inter Milan Preview

Last updated : 31 July 2004 By Mark Heys
Bolton Wanderers welcome top Italian side Inter Milan to the Reebok Stadium tommorow afternoon in what will be their first home fixture of the close season.

Wanderers manager Sam Allardyce could give home debuts to new signings Gary Speed, Radhi Jaidi and Tal Ben-Haim whilst another new face in the shape of former England striker Les Ferdinand could play having successfully overcome a recent knee operation.

Michael Bridges may not take part having played in this afternoons 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday but their could be places for recently signed defensive duo Fernando Hierro and Julio Cesar.

Allardyce will be without long term absentee Florent Laville as the Frenchman suffered a setback with a knee injury but there is better news for trio Kevin Nolan, Nicky Hunt and Anthony Barness who are declared fit despite going off injured during the midweek friendly win at Oldham Athletic.

Inter coach Roberto Mancini will bring a strong side to England which will include former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastien Veron and the ex-Everton defender Marco Materazzi. Dutch Euro 2004 stars Edgar Davids and Andy Van Der Meyde are also included in the travelling party as is Italian international Francesco Toldo. Recent signing Sinisa Mihailovic from Lazio, once a Bolton loan target will not be in the squad neither will midfielder Ze Maria who has only just moved from Perugia.

Alberto Fontana, Francesco Toldo, Daniele Adani, Francesco Coco, Ivan Cordoba, Giuseppe Favalli, Marco Materazzi, Giovanni Pasquale, Gonzalo Sorondo, Javier Zanetti, Esteban Cambiasso, Edgar Davids, Francisco Farinos, Sabri Lamouchi, Dejan Stankovic, Andy Van Der Meyde, Juan Sebastien Veron, Ianis Zicu, Adriano, Obafemi Martins, Alvaro Recoba, Nicola Ventola
