Ward prepares for Bolton return

Swindon need to win at Millwall on the last day of the season, and if Leeds fail to beat Bristol Rovers, Town will go up.

Ward, who plans to establish himself in Bolton's first-team next season, said: "The time down here has flown and it's been a really good experience for me."

Swindon took Ward on loan in November on an initial month-long deal, which was extended until the end of the season.

Since then, the striker has made 28 appearances for Swindon, scoring six goals.

Ward has become a fans' favourite at the County Ground, but he told BBC Wiltshire that he was planning to move back to Bolton to try and win a place in their first-team next season.

"I spoke to Owen Coyle a couple of weeks ago and he said he was pleased with how things were going," added Ward.

"It'll be good for me to go back and get in a Premier League side hopefully."
