New Signing Donovan Ricketts could be set for an early baptism of fire as he is being tipped to be involved in Bolton Wanderers FA Cup clash with Tranmere Rovers at the weekend.

The 26-year old Jamaican international will link up with Wanderers officially on New Years Day having completed the formalities of his loan move from Village United and could be in line for a place for the cup trip to Prenton Park.

Regular number one Jussi Jaaskelainen is expected to be rested leaving the Bolton manager Sam Allardyce the choice between Ricketts and the veteran Kevin Poole who has performed admirably during the clubs Carling Cup run this season.
