Heading Back Home?
German international striker Carsten Jancker looks set to sever his ties with Serie A side Udinese and head back to his homeland in the summer after an unhappy spell in Italy.

The former Bayern Munich star looked set to move to Bolton Wanderers in January until the end of the season but on his late arrival in England for talks the giant forward demanded a two year contract which shocked both Trotters manager Sam Allardyce and his chairman Phil Gartside who had an initial agreement with the player to move to England until the seasons end. Allardyce blasted the player for his last minute change of heart describing the player as a "con man" and sent him back to Italy.

Jancker 29, has failed miserably at the Stadio Friuli since his £2 million move from Munich two years ago scoring just twice in over thirty two matches and despite having a number of options his preference is to return to the Bundesliga.

"Bundesliga would be a great thing for me, I expect to open negotiations, but at the moment, there is nothing real." he said
